Carlyle chairman to retire, no successor named

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Private equity firm Carlyle Group said on Tuesday its chairman Louis Gerstner will retire and become a senior adviser to the company’s buyout funds. Carlyle said in a statement a successor had not been named.
